The construction of a 5x5 football field is preferred by many sports centers as an economical and practical solution for football matches involving players of various skill levels. Sport Solutions, with extensive experience in similar projects, delivers 5x5 fields built according to all required specifications that guarantee a high-quality playing experience. Given that children also train on these fields, special emphasis is placed on safety and compliance with all necessary operational standards. As with the construction of a full-size football field, the stages followed include site preparation, installation of the playing surface, and final finishing works to deliver a complete facility.
The initial works aim to create a suitable sports area by preparing the ground to ensure it is smooth and level. Excavation is carried out to a shallow depth of approximately 0.30 meters, followed by backfilling with coarse-grained material and the installation of a drainage system. The base construction is completed with the placement of asphalt layers in rolls.
A 5x5 field is rectangular, and its dimensions may vary depending on the available space. The length ranges from 15 to 42 meters, while the width must be less than the length. If the field is intended for international matches, its length must be between 38 and 42 meters and its width between 18 and 22 meters.
As with full-size football fields, the material used for the playing surface of a 5x5 field is turf, which may be either natural or artificial. Given the typically limited budget for such fields, synthetic turf with a pile height of 40–60 mm is used in the vast majority of cases. In addition to its lower cost, it offers minimal maintenance requirements, durability in all weather conditions, and the ability to support many hours of daily play. The synthetic turf applied provides high-level shock absorption and ensures good ball bounce.
The final stage of 5x5 field construction includes marking the playing surface, installing the goals and flags, and completing the electrical and mechanical lighting works. At the same time, the area around the field is enclosed with fencing 4–5 meters high. There is also the option of installing spectator stands, provided the total available area allows for it.
The construction of a covered 5x5 field can be achieved at relatively low cost either with an air-supported structure (dome) or with a structure supported by a metal or wooden framework. These constructions are easy to transport and install, provide natural lighting so that artificial lighting is not necessary during daytime hours, and offer a long service life.
